Overview

Sancha Pérez organic winery and olive oil producer offers inmersive visits to their premises in an appealing natural environment. This local project started in 2008 by Ramón Iglesias, an industrial engineer with extensive experience in promoting agri-food projects, about to retire and back to his native Conil, accompanied by his son Alejandro. With the illusion of recovering in ecological production two old forgotten crops in the Region, the olive tree and the vine; two crops that played an important role until the end of the 19th century in the local economy. Also building a small industry that transforms and markets its oils, red and white wines, vinegars and jams; with the conviction that without industry, without transformation of agricultural products, there is no future.

The Sancha Pérez project was conceived and developed to be more than just a wine cellar or an
olive mill. Many different kind of groups come to our place: students, retired people, women associations…
given that our main purpose is that every inhabitant surrounding the farm/wineyard, could enjoy
the visit for free. The tours begin with a walk around the wineyards and the olive trees, where they
show the varieties of grapes and olives that are grown in the farm as well as the different ecological
crop techniques developed. The winery team answer any question anybody has about this ancient products
and at the same time they offer the visit to the Olive Museum where 26 different types of olives are
cultivated, and the Fruit Area where you can taste season fruits. Later on we get to the wine cellar
and to the olive mill where we explain all the processes involved in the elaboration of our white and
red wines and of our Extre Virgin Oilve Oil. At the end, visitors can buy local products (wines, oils, vinegars and jams) at the winery shop.
