Overview
Walk along paths traced out over generations, marked by the conquest of arable land in the mountains and bounded by dry stone walls, built by the knowledge and art of local people who have left their mark on the humanisation of the landscape in the Serras de Aire and Candeeiros Nature Park. Once you have reached the half slope of the mountain, enter the Alcobertas cave, with helmet and headlamp, walk 210 metres to discover an underground world, marked by time, water and people who occupied the cave in prehistoric times. Leaving the cave, you will return to the village of Chãos passing through the ridge of the Candeeiros Mountain.
