The Andalusian Regional Ministry of Culture Celebrates Flamenco Day

29 November 2021 | By Atlantic CultureScape

On 16 November 2010, UNESCO included flamenco in the Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. On the 11th anniversary of its inclusion, the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco has organised a programme of activities throughout Andalusia during November. This programme sees the Andalusian educational community bringing flamenco to the streets, to make it accessible for the public and to promote it to future generations. Being recognised in this way by UNESCO celebrates the passion and commitment of the Junta de Andalucía to flamenco. They continue to work in the conservation, study and promotion of flamenco, always at the side of the community, the peñas and the artists. https://www.juntadeandalucia.es/cultura/flamenco/#DíadelFlamenco @CulturaCuenta #InstitutoAndaluzdelFlamenco#IAF
